Question about home business methods in entity beans

here in the diagram the client invokes the home business method updateAll() on the "stub" object, which passes the request to the home.

now which stub is this? since there is no ejbObject yet, what is this stub referring to? is this the case always? only one stub always that forwards requests to the home or specific ejbObject (specific primary key corresponding to the stub)?

this is really confusing since what i have been thinking is one stub for one entity? which doesn't seem to be the case here.

please clarify.

Look at the picture colsely. What is on top of the picture? Its a home picture. Its a home stub. So the stub is referring to the home object on server. A stub will be for home or ejbObject. Not both at a time. A stub to ejb object is shown as in picture on page 348 on client side. With a guard on top of it.
