I saw in one of the threads posted in Javaranch that, J2EE 1.3 will go soon and newer version will popup in near future. It was also said that, it is better to delay on SCBCD for sometime and take up the new exam.

Now my query is, how fast is this going to happen. Can Kathy or anybody assosiated with "Sun" answer on this please ? Thanks!

doesn't sun announce these things well in advance? i would hope so for anyone studying for the current exam. i think 6 months advance is plenty to give when migrating to a new exam.

when i took the scjp exam, it was 1.3 jdk maybe and had questions on gui stuff. i've heard that later versions of the exam do not cover gui topics. swing/awt.
