Hi,

I used the Head first book for the SCWCD exam and thought it was excellent. I have now started studying for the SCBCD exam using the Head first EJB book and already my eyes are beginning to glaze over. I think this is probably because I had experience building servlet and jsp apps before, but I have no practical experience in EJB. Can anyone point me to practical app building beginner tutorials in EJB, I've looked at the sun site and I didn't click with the blueprints or the tutorials. Also, is there anywhere I can get a .pdf copy of Mikalai Zaikin study notes.

Thanks,
Martin

I was in the same position as you a few months ago.
Before I began reading the book I followed the J2EE tutorial at
http://www.tusc.com.au/tutorial/html
This is a complete J2EE system built from scratch with Session, Entity and MDBs using JBoss and Eclipse.
The material in HFEJB made much more sense after that.
