Question on EJB programming restrictions.

As I understand,
If we have file access code in EJB, the that code can be compiled and deployed successfullt but it does not remail portable acorss all EJB 2.0 compliant servers.

Same is true for read -write static filed.

I am confused about how it will be when we pass "this" as an argument in the bean code.

[EJB Specs] The enterprise bean must not attempt to pass this as an argument or method result to guarantee portability of the enterprise bean�s implementation across all compliant EJB 2.1 containers.
