I am new to here, to java, and to J2EE. Well, I know only some basic Java 2 stuff from work. I am a Quality Assurance engineer and not a developer.

I feel very lucky to find HF to be VERY attractive to read. It's a great book because if I forget something that did not stick in my head, I just skim on one of the diagrams I am familiar with in that book, and this would just create a thread that makes me remember the whole story in an instant. It's just very natural to the mind to return to the diagrams when I need something quickly.

But despite the fact this the BEST book to make me remember and UNDERSTAND stuff, I have a comment that I hope none of you remembers:

The characters in the book seem to show that women do not engage in physical Black-belt fights as much as men do. Although, this is a fact, I do not want to be reminded that men are more physically dominant than women

But any way, the 2 Masters conversation helped me retain information longer than I ever expected. Plus the female face crying or imitating (Yoga) also helped me think about the answers to the questions posted. So the creative style of the book works except if the characters behavior that map into each gender is more neutral, I feel its better because some people just live in a world of fantasy where women could be strong like the 2 Masters.

Welcome to Javaranch Fred

I'm not sure you landed in the right forum as the SCBCD exam does not deal with servlets and all that stuff. You might want to have a look at our SCWCD forum if that is the case. Otherwise, you are more than welcomed to stay among us and learn EJBs
