amit,

As I understand you seem to have a free spot in your schedule and you would like to tackle the SCBCD exam. Doing it in 20 days is ok if you can work 96 hours a day, which means that I would at least recomment 80 days of full time study and practice in order to take the exam.

Believe me, if you can only spend 20 days on this certification exam, it would be wiser not to take it at all as it would not bring you much in terms of knowledge and satisfaction. Certification exams are there for assessing that you have a practical working knowledge of a given domain and not for evaluating whether you have a good memory or not.

Try to figure out whether you can spend more time on it and then I can assure you that you can pass successfully, otherwise you might just as well throw your 150$ in the shredder now

thanx Valentin Cretta,

ok i can study study full-time, with atleast 7-8 hr atleast (other then spending my time at javaranch.com )

so can you tell me how many days would be sufficent to score above 90%.

and is ejbplus is good other then HF book for my studies ( i have planed for these two only ) ..as i don't want to take huge burden..of many books
pls also comment on this

--------
in above stratergy i assume i keep on revising my studies time to time..
as it was my earlier experience was that if i don't revise i don't remember what i studied 3-5 days before (for first time) and i forget somestuff..so i will atleast give 1-2 hours for daily revision..
i have one more experience is to give all topic wise exam from mock exam simulator like ejbplus or soo.. so to make sure you have good knowledge on one objective and then move forward.. and also to search javaranch forum for the specific objective more and more question to have satisfaction for studing good on objective wise...
( is it a good study stratergy ? .. do comment)
pls add your experince and give some wisdom to seeker

i would be greatfull if many people add thier experince and give valuable suggestions for excelent study stratergies ...
infact i encourage many post in this thread..so it will be good source of information to all the scbcd aspirants..

Best Regards
amit

If you will study 7-8 hrs a day for 20 days then scoring above 90% shouldn't be difficult. But then it depends upon your memory. Also as Valentin has pointed out there is no point in getting the marks only one needs to have good understanding and for the you gotta read the specs. If you are planning to read specs then it will take more time.

It will be good if you can keep 40 days for preperation so that you will be able to finish H&F + specs + mock exams + MZ notes.

I would say it would be a good test for your memory rather than SCBCD.
