You get 120 minutes to complete the exam. But, the time only starts when you hit 'start' on the pc. My question is:

Is it allowed to write some things down on paper during the exam but BEFORE starting the test program ? for example; I would write down all the deployment descriptor tags, all the classes in javax.ejb and their methods and some other things. This will take for about 10 minutes. After that I will start the test.

Yes, this is a good idea. It is a little strange that few people seem to have thought of doing this.

So you think its legal ?

I hope it is...I have no problems in remembering all that stuff. But I will have doubts if I do not write it down directly. Especially if those descriptor related questions are far in the back (after question 60 for example).
