Team,

I have 2 1/2 days to go for the exam. I felt quite prepared.
did the HF dance and Manning Lecture. some ejb certificate some Jdiscuss. I gave the HF mock exam and got only 38 right. This kind of raised my hair.
Other exams ok scores 60-70%

I am only looking for passing mark. My strategy is try to do a few more mocks and reinforce some concepts.

Do you think I am walking a tight rope and better to reschedule.

Thx folks

Certification has only sense when you convince yourself of learning the technology of which you are getting certified for. You obviously did not do that in a correct way, otherwise you would get atleast have 80% on the mock exams. However, it could also be that you were thinking to be prepared but you are not therefore if you still are planning to do the exam:

- Memorize, and understand: the descriptor tags / life cycle of each bean / allowed methods / all ejb related classes and their methods. 30% of the questions are related to this.

- Read the IBM developer works ejb resum´┐Ż. Its short, easily to read and it covers the most important points. It does not cover it all, but I'm sure it will cover 90% of the questions you'll get on the real exam. Basicly you should read the spec, but since you do not have the time for that...

- Perform as much mock exams as you possibly can. Even if you have low grades on the mock, your knowledge WILL be upgraded after doing these mocks. You must go through every question again (even the correct ones) and lookup why this is the right answer or not.

I'm sure that will get you at least 65%

Good luck.

thanks Koen for your encouragement. Actually concept wise I feel very prepared, I have decided to go ahead, I have analyzed my deficiencies, mostly tag syntax, and rote memory areas, Today in ejb certificate most areas I am getting 90- 100% excepting exceptions and environment, security which I got 50-20-40 respectively.
So in short I realize I have memorize some areas.
