Thomas:
Thank you very much for the introduction and for the opportunity. I'm honored to be here at JavaRanch. Please allow me to say three things:
1) Thanks to Kathy Sierra, Paul Wheaton, and others to give this great gift to the Java community.
2) Thanks to JavaRanchers to keep this place lively.
3) I take the liberty to share three pieces of information with you that will answer some of the questions, I already see on the forum:
a) The website for this book is:
http://www.manning.com/sanghera
From this website you can also go to the author online where readers can discuss the topics in the book and can ask me the questions.
b) If you are interested in knowing what other books from me are in the pipe, please check it out at
http://www.paulsanghera.com/books
c) If you are interested in knowing more about me, here is my website:

Thanks, everyone.
I'm honored to be here.

I have read your book and in my opinion, it is very well presented, there is a lot of continuity int the topics and last but not the least it makes you think and derive at the result which makes the topics easy to understand.

Hello Mr.Paul Sanghera,

I'm planning to give SCBCD in the near future and am really confused as to which book to choose. Every book has something or the other unique among the others. I'd like to know what's unique about your book. Today most of the books are centered around exam and forgetting the core point, i.e., Knowledge. I'm interested in a book (like K.Mughal's for SCJP) which not just covers the exams but addresses a larger scope. Hope your book fits my requirement.

Thank you.

Usually, a book focus on a particular area, or some purposes. If the book focus on certification, it aims to provide you mainly information on how to crack the exam.

Mughal's book is an exception, however, if you are the one who focus on the exam, it is too detail for SCJP. However, if you get only 1 resource, it is difficult for you to scan out those "out-of-syllbus" topics.

Thus, you might always need at least 2 books.

For EJB, I would recommend HF EJB, SCBCD Exam Study Kit together with Enterprise JavaBean 4th edition.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
