How is the deployer responsible for making sure that the target bean type in the operational environemnt matches the bean type specified in the ejb-ref tag specified by the bean provider. It is the bean provider who decides the type of the bean he writes - session or entity. So, I think the bean provider should ensure that when he specifies an ejb-ref-type element, that type should be the same as whatever type the bean with the specified <home> and <remote> tags in the same ejb-ref element have. The deployer has nothing to do with the bean type. Can someone pl clarify?
