Hello friends,

I have just cleared SCWCD and am planning to shoot for the SCBCD.
Can any of you tell me what would be the best book(s)/ links to start with for the exam ?
I have the book Mastering EJB - Ed Roman. would that be a good book for the exam?
How difficult is the exam as compared to SCWCD and how long would it take to prepare for the exam for an novice person like me with barely any hands on experience in EJB?

Most of the posters here are partial to Head's First EJB, partly because it's targetted directly at the test, and partly because the authors are contributors to this forum. I highly recommend getting some practical experience with EJBs before attempting the certification. You probably won't remember the concepts otherwise, even if you did somehow manage to pass the test. Also the EJB standard is going through some changes. If you don't have any immediate need, you might as well wait for things to stabilize. (To the extent that they ever do with technology.)

I would recommend SCBCD Study Kit by Dr.Paul Sanghera from Manning. It's not an exam cram, but still very much focussed on the exam objectives...very cohesive and concise coverage.
