Hi,

I tried doing the AdviceApp of HFEJB in Chapter 1 but I was having an error compiling the client program. I was able to correctly created the jar file. I am using windows as my platform.

What's the windows version of this command? As this was the command used in the book. I believe this is for UNIX platform.
$javac -classpath {$CLASSPATH}:AdviceAppClient.jar AdviceClient.java

I tried this one but I am having an error telling that the package javax.ejb.* does not exist.
C:\>javac -classpath C:\projects\advice\AdviceAppClient.jar AdviceClient.java

Thanks for the help in advance.

Mastering the Java CLASSPATH:
...

javac -classpath %CLASSPATH%;dir1 ir2 ...

Finally, please note that if directories in your class search path have spaces in their names, you may have to use double-quotes on the command line to prevent the CLASSPATH being split up. For example:
javac -classpath "%CLASSPATH%";dir1 ir2 ...
