I have two questions from HFEJB:-

1) Which kind of bean is gauranteed to survive a container crash?

2) Which kind of bean represents a process?

Saurabh,

answers for your questions.
1) Entity
2) Session

Entity bean will survive the container crash because the container may destroy the bean instance but it is not going to hurt the Entity (real data which is in a persistent storage). so when you restart the server, it is going to read the data from the persistent store again. So there is no damage.

Session Bean represents a process..

Thanks,
Ugender

i think none of the beans will survive a container crash. it may appear to the user that the entity bean survives since the entity does.
