This is not a book, but a simulator. You should refer to the homepage first before asking

This is not for a novice programmer. The prepkit does not take the place of books or actual hands-on experience. You do need to get sufficient knowledge and experience before you can consider going for SCBCD. The PrepKit can help you assess your knowledge, give you feedback on the sections you need to work more on, provide exhaustive explanations on why each answer is correct/incorrect, give you practice on a simulated testing environment and so on.
Hope this helps.

Are all topics covered in preparation for the exam? Is this simulator the only means I will need to prepare for the exam or would a book help?

Thanks,
~Ryan

An exam simulator is just that, a way to practice for the exam.

It will NOT teach you the knowledge you need to pass the actual exam, and if you think you can pass the exam by cramming the answers to a set of practice questions you'll almost certainly (or so I hope) be sorely disappointed.

Unless you have extensive knowledge of the subject matter already, you WILL need study material.
Books like Head First EJB and O'Reilly's "Enterprise Javabeans 3rd edition" (or 4th, but not 5th which deals with EJB3) come to mind (with the latter being out of print but still available on Safari).
