Hi ,
I just installed the J2EE SDK1.4. as Im looking in my /bin folder I see appclient.bat,asaadmin.bat,asant.bat,deploytool.bat among other batch files, but I dont see the j2ee.batch file. How do I start the server? where is the file Im supposed to write 'j2ee -verbose' on?

I have a C:\J2EE1.4\pointbase\tools\serveroption\startserver.bat is this it?

or Do I have bad installation?

check the server documentation.
It will tell you how to start the server.

You have neither a bad installation nor is the batchfile you mention the one.
Which it would be depends on your exact server version (you seem to have 8.1?).
