You're not connecting to your naming server properly.

AHHH finally...finally.. got it to work. the problem was related to not having an rt.jar in my classpath while running, which for some reason hasnt been mentioned in the book or on the website :roll: After including that I got a CORBA.BAD_OPERATION error for which there is a fix given on the wickedlysmart website. . Who knew these errors would be so frikkin misleading!!
