does this book show step by step how to create a JEE program with EJB3?

Yes. At the end of the book, there is a "workbook" which guides you how to setup JBoss, and run the examples demonstrate in the corresponding chapter.

Personally, I feel it is more easy to follow than Mastering EJB 3.0.

I am not impressed by the book. The previous editions were great. I am missing Richard Monson.
