Hi Bert,
Somebody on this forum said that we can read following topics from HF EJB books for EJB 3.0

Section 9 Transactions
Section 10 Exception
Section 11 Security Management

What is your opinion on this. I am asking because it is very easy to understand concepts if you read from HF book. I have read Transactions chapter and I am able to understand it well and fast.
As you were involved in both SCBCD 5.0 and the old version, you must be the best person to tell which chapters could be read from HF to prepare for EJB3.0

Thanks in advance,
Paras

well i wrote about the above thing ..
because, i observe the objective of above three topic are exactly same as in ejb 2.0

and there is no difference in objective
so i think that we can read from HF book and then update to some ejb book for the annotation it may use

EJB 3.0 is so different that I don't think the old book will completely prepare you for any topic. I think that the chapters you mentioned will be helpful, but I think that for every topic you'll need to study additional material. The old EJB book will probably give you a decent background, but it won't have the current details that you will need.

hth,

Bert
