Luiz,

Did you get the authorization from Oreilly that it is legal to receive the electronic copy somewhere except from the publisher?

If not, there will be illegal access to books without copyrights, which should be prohibit in this forum.

Hi, Nick.

The book I'm using is not what I could call "a book". It is a pdf file that was generated from a set of html pages, that can be found in oreilly site.

It is not my intention to be illegal, and I reccomend to buy the printed book - that is a excelent reference. In fact I really wanted to buy the printed book, but until I receive it my test is gone...

So, I only wanted to help.

Unless the site explicitely allows the reproduction in other media, it's probably still illegal.

If you are talking about Enterprise JavaBeans 3.0, Fifth Edition then it is a COPYRIGHT work, no matter whether it is in printed pages, on audio tape, on CD, on DVD, in HTML format, or PDF format.

Copyright owner might give explicit permission for their works to be distributed free of charge, with a purchasable printed copy - Bruce Eckels does this. If this were the case for this book, you would expect to find a copy offered by Richard Monson-Haefel himself. This does not appear to be happening for this book.

As such, we will treat any future requests for non-purchased books as requests to break the law, and we will remove them.

Posts above have been modified to remove suggestions on how to break the law.

Regards, Andrew
