hi,

who is responsible of specifying the transaction-type of an enterprise bean in the dd.

is it the bean provider because if it is BMT then he should implement the beans accordingly... and if it is CMT the application assembler is responsible of specifying the transaction attributes fot the methods...

If you are specifying transaction boundaries in the DD (marking the methods that is) it can automatically be assumed that you are using CMT. So the answer would be the application assembler.
