Recently I was bitching about how the M$ marketing engine is crushing things that are good in favor of the allmighty dollar.
Then it occured to me: I'm sitting on top of a huge marketing engine. I should put it to use for "that which is good".
I have heard a lot of good things about the
jBoss product - definitely a good thing, but since they charge no money, they have no money for advertising. So it seems that it would be a good thing for me to promote it at no charge. So I sent an e-mail (which I hope gets to the right person - we'll see).
I did a similar thing for the
Ant project (again, did I get the right e-mail?)
I think intellij is also an excellent product, but since they are commercial, I'm trying to work out a sort of barter deal.
Anyway, the big question right now is: what is good? What should I try to promote here on JavaRanch to support "that which is good"?? Open source projects? Linux? XP/Agile stuff?
