Dear Ranchers,

I m preparing for SCBCD 5 and referring EJB 3 Specs. Wiil refer MJ at last for revision. The specs are having ejb 2.1 entity beans. Do I need to read them for exam? I dint found them in exam objects.
Dear Frnds, I need your sincere advice. I want to give exam with in 2 weeks.

I can't say for 100% sure, but probably you will not get any EJB 2.X Entity Beans questions. There are some questions though about EJB 2.0 -> EJB 3.0 migration.

MZ

Before 2 days I passed scwcd 5, a now ready for scbcd.
Someone can help me? Which studying guide for scbcd 1.3 is best?
This -> manning

Or this ->

I'm big K&B fan, but her book is too old...

And which themas I must studying from somewhere else? And where?
Thanks!

Hi Pavels !

Head First EJB book covers SCBCD 1.3, so if you want to take SCBCD 1.3 abd you're a fan of HF style - go ahead and grab HF EJB.

You should keep in mind that book might be old, but EJB 2.0 specification is old too.

The book from Manning Publishing is Ok too. Just different style. There were good feedbacks about it at JavaRanch.

MZ

How many time need preparation for SCBCD? It's harder then scwcd?

[1] Difference is - EJB 2.0 vs EJB 3.0. They are completely different.
[2] HF EJB is enough for SCBCD 1.3. I would not recommend use any EJB 2.0 specific book for SCBCD 5.0. It may do more harm than good (since as I said - versions of specifications are very different)
[3] It's more or less the same level of difficulty, I would say. (If we talking about SCWCD 1.4 and SCBCD 1.3). SCBCD 5.0 is harder, since there is no study guide on the market, there just a few study notes, and no mock tests.

regards,
MZ
