Is the odering of the tag of ejb-jar.xml validated while an application is deployed.
If not then which case.

Hi,
Seems order of elements in DD does matter.

I got this error while deploying CMP bean when I put <primkey-field> tag before <cmp-field>. As per DTD, this element should be after <cmp-field>

The XML parser encountered an error in your deployment descriptor. Please ensure that your deployment descriptor corresponds to the format in the DTD. The error was:
Error parsing file 'META-INF/ejb-jar.xml'............
