Hi,

I am preparing for SCBCD exam for EJB2.0 with the help of Head First EJB. I downloaded both 1.4 and 1.3 versions of J2EE but I am not able to install 1.3
After double clicking the 1.4 installable I am not getting any response. I tried changing JAVA_HOME and PATH to a jdk1.3, still its not working. Could somebody help me with any tips for getting out of this problem??

Also, is it ok to prepare for the exam with j2ee1.4. Can I run all the sample programs in the Head First Book. Please advice me in this regard

Thanks in Advance,
~Rosh

what is the exact name of the file you downloaded ?
You should use j2sdkee1.3.1 to prepare for SCBCD.

Hi Celinio,

The file I am trying to install is j2sdkee-1_3_1-win.exe

But I succeeded installing j2eesdk-1_4_03-windows.exe only. Please provide some tips why I am not able to install the first one.

Thanks,
Rosh

Disable your firewall and/or antivirus to install it

Hi Celinio,

I disabled firewall and virus scan. I am able to install j2ee1.4 but not j2ee1.3 :-( Is there any other prerequisite for installing j2ee1.3?

Thanks,
~Rosh
