To pass SCBCD we have to cover Entity Bean but in real world how practical and popular is Entity beans?

For object-relational mapping they are the best ... just take a look at technologies like Hibernate, TopLink, etc.

In EJB2.0, there are quite a pain in the neck. That's why many ORM frameworks popped out afterwards. EJB3.0 were completly redesigned, with a brand new persistence framework. I think it's worth studying both, to get a feel of the difference between both.
