Hi All,

I have all along been a silent visitor of Java Ranch for nearly 1.5 yrs and now this is my first post over here. Yesterday i cleared SCBCD 1.3 with 86 % (Cleared SCJCP 5.0 - 70% in May 2007).

Took SCBCD as i am currently working mostly on Core Java / EJB -(BMP) and have no experience in Servlets and JSP except for an occasional cursory view whenever i have to understand the flow of a particular module as Servlets/JSP form only part of the our application framework and I do not have any hands-on exp in them.

Would it be good for me to go for SCWCD or please suggest an alternative technology to make myself competent.....

Many thanks to all my fellow Ranchers and to the moderators for building such a great forum.....

Howdy Ezhil Kumaran Kesavaraj,

  • Congrats on your first post!
  • Congratulations for the victory on the exam with a good score
  • All the best for SCWCD exam.

  • For the quick info. on the SCWCD exam, you may please

  • Have a look at the SCWCD FAQ @ JavaRanch
  • You can start reading the "Head First Servlets & JSP" book which itself would be suffice for clearing the exam with a wonderful score!

  • Good luck!

    I agree with Kai Witte.
I took the SCJD in May, now I am preparing for SCBCD.
