Hi

I am thinking to appear for BCD. I want to know whether the old SCBCD is still valid. If yes how much time more would the exam be around till SUN stops it.

Yes, SCBCD 1.3 is still valid, but I don't know how long it will be there. Depending on your requirements and your time, I'd consider going for 5.0 instead.

I think the more appropriate question would be "what version would benefit me more?".

If you're still into old style EJB in your current work or future work then the old BCD would really help you create better software.

But if you're just starting with EJB and would want to leverage the simplicity of the new EJB 3, then I must say that BCD 5 is the way to go.
