Hi Everyone,

I recently cleared SCWCD and now want to prepare for SCBCD.

Here are some of the questions I really have. (Looking forward for a patient reply even though they are obvious to many of you out here).

1. I came to know that SCBCD 3.0 is being discontinued by SUN from 29th Feb. In this regard would it be more productive if I give SCBCD 1.5?

2. If I happen to use a voucher that has been already taken... can I appear for SCBCD in some later date(ofcourse before my voucher expires)?

3. I presently have Head First EJB with me.... Reading this book even for SCBCD 1.5 would at all be productive??

Looking forward for a patient response....

-Kalyan.

"kalyan",
You've already been warned twice about your name. Your name does not fit the Naming Policy. Read it carefully, and please change your name accordingly. You need both first and last names set. And Obviously fictitious names may be locked out, especially after three warnings. Thank you.

there is no such exam called SCBCD 3.0. That is SCBCD 1.3 (EJB 1.3). SCBCD 5.0 targets EJB 3.0

1. yes scbcd 5.0 is a good option

2. yes

3. no. EJB 3.0 for SCBCD 5.0 is quite different from previous versions.Head first book on previous version of EJB wont help.Go for o'riely book on ejb 3.0 instead.

The concepts (for Session Beand and MDB) still hold good from the Head First EJB book. But I'd suggest you better pick up the O'Reilly's EJB book or the Manning's book (EJB 3 in Action) and the Apress book (Pro EJB3 - has a good deal on Entity Beans) for the SCBCD 5.
