I passed today the scbcd 5.0 exam with 85%!

My experience:

- I have one year of experience in EJB 2.1
- My one year experience in hibernate helped a lot.
- Three months preparing for EJB 3.0
- I read Manning EJB 3.0 in action. Really easy reading and covers almost all the topics for the exam.
- Mikalai Zaikin notes where really useful, I read them three times.

- The exam was tougher than I expected
- For me the 'Persistence units and Persistence contexts' and the 'Session bean component contract & lifecycle' sections were the hardest ones.

I would like to thank all of you ranchers for your support, and Mikalai Zaikin for his notes.

Congratulations alejandro!

We have the same BCD 5 score and you have the same name as my son.

Now it can't get any better than that!

Thank all of you gays for your congratulations. I purchased whizlabs simulator, but I must confess it has at least three mistakes in each mock exam because sometimes it marks as correct an option which is actually wrong or it shows in the explanation a topic totally different to the question, as this thread shows https://coderanch.com/t/163512/java-EJB-SCBCD/certification/whizlabs. And whenever a take the final mock exam the program gets stuck and I am not able to see neither my result nor the explanations. I sent mails to report the mistakes and they said they would check it but I have not received a response yet. It was useful anyway.

By the way, my next step is the SCEA 5.0 exam, which I am planing to take in July.

Greetings from Mexico

From the posts here I think Manning EJB is the next head first for SCBCD
