hello all,

I cleared the SCBCD 5.0 yesterday on 10th, the exam is not that tough, but you need to be clear on each and everypoint.
I prepared mostly from O'reilly, and the specs.
and purchased Whizlabs and Enthuware.
Last but not least, MZ's notes are REALLY good,to the point for the exam.
and i thank you all who helped me clearing my doubts .

Hi mallika..

How about mocks... Which do you think is better?
And how many time do you took for your preparation?

Thanks a bunch

Hello Elton,

For me it took more than what is needed.I was not getting much time to read along with my job.So it was on and off.

but i guess one can clear it in 2 or 3 months studies.

Hi Mallika,
Extending the question from Alim Atar. Want to know what all it takes to clear a novice and whats the difficulty level. I am reading EJB from manning publication. Is it enough to read just one book and take more mocks? Please guide
Thanks,
An Sush

Thank you all.

Kumar , ans to your question "What are the different books that you have referred?"

O'Reilly
Java Persistence API (from Apress)
Specs
Online material
Manning(a little bit )

Alim , I dont have any experience with EJB's,was totally new to EJB land.
And for the Manning book, I dint read it much.I started with Head First EJB to know what EJB's are.
Then Specifically for the Exam, i started reading O'Reilly(the Best), after that I read Apress book(good for clearing fundamentals).
Then I read all the Specs(perfect for clearing the exam).
And Finally I started giving mock tests.Purchased Whizlabs and Enthuware.
Both of them are good, but Enthuware was very close to exam questions.

Again i would like to say about the exam, its not at all tough, But if you are not clear with your fundamentals, its really Hard to clear. Its not a logic based test.all you need is knowledge.

so all the best to all who are preparing for the test.

Thanks Paul, I would love to add myself in the Hall of Fame.

regards,
mallika
