Hi,

I've passed SCBCD 5.0 today with 81%.
I am totally new to EJB and used the following books/mock ups
Books
-----
O'Reilly EJB3 (Gives a good understanding on EJB)
EJB Specs (A definite must)
Mikalai Zaikin`s notes

Mockup
------
Enthuware (A MUST and its cheap compared to Whizlab)
Whizlab (Don't buy it as its not worth for the money)

I spent around 2 1/2 months - 2 hours per day in the week days and little more in the week end.

Though I was not confident to take the exam today, decided to try it as I had the retake option :-) And also I didn't expect to pass with very high % but finally managed to get 81%

Using Enthuware, out of the five tests i just passed two tests (~60%). Actually few questions that was present in the Enthuware appeared in the exam too!

Good Luck !!

Thanks
~Ashok K

Enthuware link is available in http://faq.javaranch.com/java/ScbcdLinks#scbcd50

I studied all the chapters in EJB-Core specs. Didn't have time to study the Persistence specs.

Hi Ashok,

Congratulations on your success!

I am preparing for the SCBCD 5 too and have got oreilly's book.
Could you tell me exactly what chapters to study and a rough idea of what to study in them because I am running short of time and would still like to give the exam a shot.

Thank You.
