They were
A) too complex for what they were trying to do.
B) did not perform well enough.
C) were not flexible enough to suit common needs.

Why and how they are too complex?
Why and how they did not perform well enough?
Why and how they were not flexible enough to suit common needs?
Please explain me in detail if you can?

Thankx

If you want to know the details, I suggest reading

you could also read the introductory chapter in EJB 3 in Action to get a general idea why EJB2.0 was probably the worst technology created !!

pradeep, you'll have to do a bit of research yourself. Find a book (as Aditya said) or a tutorial which talks about that.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
