I can compile the AdviceClient.java class but when I run the class I get:

javax.naming.NoInitialContextException: Need to specify class name....

Not sure if this is related to your problem. It's been a loong time since I read HF EJB.

But, can you check if there are spaces in the directory where you are running your EJB's?

Can you post some code? Probably you haven't initialize your initial context or wrong class name specified.
