Hi,

I try to run a simple client inside of a ACC.
My question is do I need an application server running to run the client inside of the ACC ? or not.

Thanks,
M

It seams that I need a application server running to run a client inside of an ACC. But this leas me to the next question, why I need this ?

In the "EJB in action" I found something like :
"The ACC is a mini Java EE container that can be runn from the command line."

Do I miss something here ?

Regards M

Hi Mihai,

Well, I guess the part you are missing is that you need to access your beans. For that to happen you need them deployed into an Application Server.

So, I would say, the ACC is not sufficient for your code to run. In fact, it is only used for running the client, not the EJBs.

Hi Sergio

Yes, you are right.
As the name say the ACC is a client - it needs the server and the server need the classes to be deployed (on server).

M
