Well ppl i have just recieved my certificate with a yellow coloured badge alsmost same as that of the programmer certificiation... i was woundering why not SUN send some thing more withe certitication like Books or Magzine Subscription after the SUN charging so heavy amount for the certificates

I agree with your statement Mansoor, as such Sun Java r charging such a heavy amount, they should also gives their magazines or subbscription letter

It's just part of a trend. I'm noticing announcements from other vendors that they're cutting back what you get with the certification as well.
And, look at it this way - yes, it's expensive to get the certification, but you're not taking the test to get magazines or goodies. You're taking the exam to have proof from the vendor to potential employers/clients that you know what you're doing.
