Hi guys, I'm trying to figure out how much time I'd need to study for the exam. I know it depends on many factors, but any general idea? And, is there ever going to be a book for the exam? I know it's all in the specs but it'd be nice to have it all in a book, with examples and explanations. Thanks, --Carlisia
as deepak stated, it depends on your current servlet/jsp experience. but, it also depends on how much time you have to prepare each day. i share your frustration about not having any "certification books" to study and was a little slow getting started because of it. a great starting point for me was to read through some of the rancher's notes ( Miftah Khan, Ken Zrobok ) just to get an idea of what i need to study. my time estimate for the exam? well, my guess is it's going to take me half the time it did for the scjp2 exam. hope this helps, -MCore

Thanks guys. From what I had seen posted I was guessing it would take about 1 month, which means it might end up taking 2 months. I'm studying full-time. It's a great tip to start from the notes, it makes complete sense. I'm taking the Sun J2EE tutorial and am going to read the notes before I jump to the books.
