I just cleared SCWCD with 89%.
Here is how I did it. It took me about a month of preparation.
- Read once the Servlet (1st ed) and JSP books from O'Reilly
- Read twice both specs (servlet and JSP)
- Read twice Ken's notes (thanks a lot Ken)
- Read three time Miftah Khan's Notes (thanks so much)
- Read numerous times the JSP 1.2 Syntax Card from sun
- I read plenty of times the dtd's for web.xml and for the tld
- Did numerous times the JavaRanch's Mock Exam (thanks Carl)
- And finally I used JWebPlus, which I highly recommend (Thanks to you Paul).
So as you can see there is a lot to do to prepare this test.
http://www.geocities.com/miftahk/java/servlet_study_guide.rtf and http://www.geocities.com/miftahk/java/jsp_study_guide.rtf
I only scored 50% for the design patterns for which I got 4 questions. I find their questions difficult to understand and specially it think that it is unfair that whereas in the Objectives they only mention 4 patterns, they give more as part of the answers, so we don't really know one of them that is not part of the objectives is the right one.
Thanks to evey one who helped me prepare that exam, and good luck to eveyone preparing it. There is not much to remember but it's doable (obviously).
Best of luck.
