Dear Carl,
Thank you for choosing Sun Educational Services for your training needs. This
is in response to the question you posted below via the website and/or
registrars@sun.com.
The passing percentage for the Java Programmers is 61%. The number of questions
is 59 and the duration of the exam is 120 minutes long.
Should you require additional information, please contact us at 1-800-422-8020

PS my original email
I run the SCWCD forum on JavaRanch. There is always questions on the
Duration, Number of Questions and passing grade for this exam. There are a few
unconfirmed answers. I would like to be able to give an offical version to help
with this until your site is updated with this information.

Carl
I hate tp play devils advocate but, the line:
The passing percentage for the Java Programmers is 61%.

makes me wonder if they are refering to the programmers test since they use the word 'Programmers' instead of 'web designers' or something similar.
sorry
Dave

hmmm...I took the exam this morning (10/04) - there were 59 questions. Alloted time: 90 minutes. Passing % = 61.
Incidentally, the opening screen said "54" questions - I guess that was a typo.
BTW, I passed! but with only 71% - I was very surprised...I expected around 85-90%! Oh well....

As Sun promised in another email, they have officially updated their site http://suned.sun.com/US/certification/java/certification_details.html#web
It is supposed to be 60 questions, if you didn't get that many, the center doesn't have it configured properly.
