This question is from SCWCD@whiz: listener class instance is scoped to one per DD declaration per VM.
I think that there are multiple per DD declaration per VM, but the correct answer is one per DD declaration per VM. Why?

depends on how you interpret "DD declaration". i interpret it as an occurrence of by that reasoning, SCWCD@whiz is correct. the server instantiates one listener instance per DD declaration per VM.

You can confirm this by looking at the section SRV.10.6 in the Servlet 2.3 specification.
