There's a lot more info in the J2EE tutorial than you need for the exam. You could quite easily get by just looking at the appropriate section of Miftah's notes.
I'd also recommend the chapter in Jason Hunter's book, which covers everything you need, and has some examples: http://www.servlets.com/jservlet2/examples/ch08/index.html
