Dear all,
Thanks to javaranch for many extremely useful resource and enlightening discussion, I finally cleared SCJP this July. Now I start to prepare for SCWCD.
Does anybody have any suggestion for Core Servlets/JSP by Marty Hall? I read Velmurugan Periasamy's message posted on 10/12, and planned to buy this book. But when I go to www.bookpool.com, I found a few bad reviews. One review said this book is too easy for SCWCD. Any suggestion is appreciated!
Thanks,
Irene

Hi,Core Servlets/JSP by Marty Hall is a good book the problem to use it to study for scwcd exam is that it covers jsp1.1 and servlets2.2 and the current exam covers servlet2.3 and jsp1.2, Im using the book Professional JSP 2 edition that covers this specs and its a great book, but Marty Halls book is a good one anyway, you should also download and read the specifications, you can find links for that and a lot more resources at: http://www.javaranch.com/scwcdlinks.jsp
regards.

Can't agree more....
Remember Marty Halls book was published before the exam or the other specs.
I reviewed it in the bunkhouse and thought (still think) it was a very good book. But you will need a little more for the exam, maynot be a whole lot more though...
Good luck.
