Hi all-
I understand that the container maps security-role-ref to security-role but where does the actual user get assigned to a security-role? e.g. where does a user get assigned, say, to the role of 'manager'?
thanks,
max

Hi,
containers are allowed the flexibility to choose the implementation mechanism to specify username and passwords for users.Tomcat uses an XML file to do so(tomcat-users.xml), WebLogic uses a graphical interface, so you have to read the server documentations to find out.
regards.
