I have passed the exam of SCJP yesterday and now I want to go for SCWCD. Please tell me the books that CAN help me in preparing for the exam. Please be specific with author's and publisher's name(s), if possible. Can somebody provide me link to download the necessary/required software like Tomcat/Java Web Server. I am working on Win 98 , is there any way I can install J2EE(is it necessary to install J2EE).
Thanks in advance.

Congrats Muhammad on conquering SCJP
and welcome to SCWCD
Best link to start is : http://www.javaranch.com/scwcdlinks.jsp
Here you will find all sort of info you require.
No , for exam purposes , installing J2EE SDK is NOT necessary . You can very well do with Tomcat or Resin
Tomcat is here : http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/index.html
Its good and everyone recommends it
But i will say go for Resin : http://www.caucho.com/products/resin/
to know , y i am recommending you Resin instead of Tomcat , check out : http://www.javaranch.com/ubb/Forum18/HTML/000410.html
About books , its a tough question , no single book covers exam objectives.
I guess , dear Ashik's discussion here will help u about books : http://www.javaranch.com/ubb/Forum18/HTML/000264.html
one more discussion about books : http://www.javaranch.com/ubb/Forum18/HTML/000283.html
Whatever book you buy , or resource you use , but keep in mind that exam covers :
- Servlets Version 2.3
- JSP version 1.2
take care of version thing.
Good luck for your prep

My basic understanding about SCWCD is that it mainly covers Servelets and JSP. Can anybody recommend any good book on each topic.
Thanks in advance.

I am going for the exam too.
From what i heard here...
1) read Java Servlet Programming first.
then
2)Professional JSP
or if u want just one book.
1)Core Servlets and JSP
