Hi All,
I am just trying to make a login page having name and password fields.I need to save the data of every user who sign in at my login page for first time for future references.I am confused in choosing whether i should use database or file to store the data..?
Plz give me ur opinion what to select..
Thanx in advance.

Why not to use database? Go for it. Why you wanna use file? BK

It depends on what exactly you wanna do , what are you trying to achieve
- Number of expected users ,searches required
- Change/deletion of values of records , required/not
- Flexibility required , like future addition of some field
etc etc ...
Dont forget , with files , you might need to do some dirty-work yourself . Like searlizing/synchronizing/securing access to file-records , maintaining total number of records somewhere etc etc
At the same time , with database you can get this and more like power of SQL .
Just for testing purpose file-thing should not be bad. But if i would have been you , i would have gone for file only in case database could not arranged with my web-host.
