I am so happy.I was a little worried about messages I had read in this forum about how, for some people this test was tricky and more difficult than the programmers test. For me it has been the same (same score on both 94%).
I have studied Core Servlets and JSP it is outdated but not bad book. Then I read the guys notes (Ken, Miftah,...) but I felt that I needed more so I studied the specifications more or less deeply. They are very well explained. And last I bought Advanced Javaserver pages.Incredible book.It is not just the usual here you have the classes and methods you will see what you do with this.It covers professional programming like Front controller, object facade, creating flowlayouts like with java awt, deep insight of custom tags (but only upto jsp 1.1).
And of course practise.I used tomcat 3.2.3 as tomcat 4.0 doesn't seem so easy to run (I copied the same directory I was using in 3.2.3 to 4.0 and nothing worked).
Don't be afraid of the test, just study hard. I studied the programmers exam in 3 weeks (I had been 5 weeks reading java books but not studying, just taking a look) 12 hours a day.For this test also 3 weeks, 12 hours a day. ( I am giving this info just to give you all as much info as possible so you can have references which I was looking so desperatly when preparing the test).
Also, I have done a mock test of my own so you have more resources to practise.3 of my question are very similar to the test.I did the test days before today so it is 100% honest and legal.
Good luck. I can hear the architect test calling me... come, come...

Congratulations!
I also passed the test with 93%. In my view understanding the concept very clearly, either from practical job or from book, is the only way to pass the test.
Maybe this is my last shot in programming. I graduated this summer but I could not find the job here at all. I am looking for the job in chemistry now (I have MSc in chem or CS as well). The market for programming is shrinking while the remaining jobs have been moving into India. --!!! Trust me, programming in USA is definately NO FUTURE. !!!-- Though production of manufacturing has been moving into China, Engineers in mechanic, chemical, or EE here still have much better future, because their roles are design and all design jobs are still in USA since the very advanced hi-tech technilogies used for design can not be output into other developing countries.
So, as I am doing now, going back to Medical, Law, Business, or Research fields is the only way to survive for our programmersin USA. We are really bright ones and I believe we all can do very well in those fields.
It's action time and Good Luck to you!
