do the getRealPath returns real path in URL form (e.g. http://www.scwcd.com/index.html) or OS form (c:\toobad\index.html).
and.. does the getRealPath take path that is relative to the current servlet?? (i.e. path does not begin with \)

It returns a filesystem path conforming to the OS conventions.

Is aServletContext.getRealPath(myPath) equivalent to
aServletContext.getRealPath("/") concatenate (myPath in file system format)???
