I can't believe this could happen with Sun. I wanted to take the test in the last week of this year. When I gave'em a call, I found out that they were closed until January 2!!! The most disappointing thing is that you cannot buy the voucher over the internet (we are talking about pioneer of the JAVA technology which is used to run n number of e commerce websites). I wish they had declared their vacation schedule on the website or something. I am fully prepared to take the test but it seems now I will have to wait until the next year to get certified. At work I told many friends that I would be a web component developer when I return from the vacation. So disappointing ....... Chintan
Hi Chintan, i submitted money 23rd December, at Dhaka but recieved the same info that order for my voucher will be forwarded at 2nd January, i mnot disappointed as i have some other works doing right now and will appear at 2nd or 3rd week of January. Hi Ashik, Unlike you I plan to take on 2nd or 3rd of January (not 2nd or 3rd week) because if I don't do this then I will have a lot of work and I would not be able to take the exam. About my preparation: I used Core Servlets and Java Server Pages, servlet specifications (did not read JSP specifications a lot), All the three notes available on javaranch, scwcd@whiz and jwebplus (I liked jwebplus better as I think its questions are closer to the real exam, scwcd@whiz is good but they have a lot of memory testing and some nonsense questions), I took javaranch mock test and I am going to take two more mock tests (Anad's mock test and the other one listed on the links page), I prepared notes that includes stuff to remember such as tags and methods & classes Hopefuly this will be enough. I plan to take the test in the first week of January. I will get back with the results. Chintan
