I am a little confused. I thought I was doing really well. I passed Anand's Mock with a 74% I skate passed Javaranch's Mock, because I have seen the questions so many times now , I Keep getting 90% and above at Mika's site, which I really like.
But then I download the trial version of the Whiz exam simulator, and I take the trial 30 questions and get 55%, and I thought their questions were easier, so to speak. They did seem to try to trick you more.
Am I still way off, and need lots more studying or is the Whiz mock more difficult that the actual test?
Thanks
Mark

Depends on what your goal is. Like if you want to just make it then probably some preparation is okay. But if you really want a good score, then yes you need to give it some more time.

is the Whiz mock more difficult that the actual test?
Not sure yet, but I did read earlier posts that there are some trick qstns, so I am giving myself extra time....to be really sure.
for what its worth...hope you will a wise decision.

Remember your short term goal is to pass it. It will take longer to learn the inner tricks of the subject.
When you do the mocks don't accept the answers right away, challenge the answers if you are not 100 % sure of it and double check it from your references. I find some stupid explanations and I don't buy it. Analyze your answers : Speak to yourself aloud and say the reason i picked this option is , I thought ...
Also take notes related to missed questions for example the space between the % and = in expressions, method=get but i did not see it, or missing ; on scriptlets and declarations , or repeated page with imports was ok but i did not see the repeating autoflush oops, etc write them down on your boo boo list and read that list before every mock. That is going to improve your score at least by 10++ . Don't get depressed because: you don't understand everything related to Servlets and JSP there are 13 objectives and 7.8 is enough to pass it.

Just did a JWhiz Quiz, which is a 85 question true/false,multiple question and fill the blanks type of test but for each question you get a time limit, which you can change. So I set it to 15 seconds for each question . Got 74 correct out of 85 . ( 87% )
My dilemma is I have a very strong visual memorization skills, so I can not grade my knowledge accurately ( I almost know all the answers for the JWeb+ and JWhiz ) So I am going to try taking a break from those test then Do some on Sunday to see how much I can remember...

Ersin,
Happy birthday to ur wife...

She's brilliant. She can see what can be and is not limited to what is. And she knows this tiny ad:
