Hi,
Yseterday I cleared my SCWCD with 91%
Overall I felt this exam easier than SCJP. When I was taking SCJP I don't have JAva experience thatswhy may be I felt SCJP bit harder than SCWCD. Now I have experience on Servlets & JSP
My preparation includes:
1. one full reading of More servlets & JSP book by Marty Hall
2. Prepared tag libraries from Java Server Programming by wrox publication
3. One full reading of Servlet Spec & JSP Spec.
Its worth reading Servlet spec & JSP spec once you read some good book on Servlet & JSPs. Then its easy to understand spec.
4. All Mock exams in Javaranch links. This helped me lot during preparation. It boosts your confidence.
5. one week back I bought JWEbPlus commercial exam. This is useful to test your skills at the end bofore exam. I was getting between 85 to 91 % when I do tests on this.
6. Design patterns from Sun's blue prints
7. Finally day before the exam I read Miftah Khan's Servlets & JSP notes, Ken Zrobok notes. These notes are very helpful for last minute quick reference.
Though I was planning to write this exam long back but I was not getting continuous time for the preparation. Everyday my time goes for commute & working. Last 3 weeks I was working from home. So I got continuous time for preparation. Morning 2 hrs & evening 2 to 3 hrs & last 2 to 3 weekends one day are so.
This site very useful. Thanks Carl Trusiak
for running this site.
Finally thanks to all Java ranchers for all the support during my preparion.
