Sorry I had to do that last post.
Well, the age old question which to take first. It is a good question, and one that takes somethought on your part.
I like both exams, I have passed both exams. The developer really helped me out, in better understanding the things I didn't get from the
SCJP, in the core
Java 2 APIs, and also made me a better OOP programmer.
Now the SCWCD really helped me in understanding the powerfulness of J2EE,
Servlets,
JSP, and Tag Libraries. You can realyl do some cool things with it, and
test them out in
Tomcat, and learn really well.
As far as marketability is concerned, they both have their pluses. My suggestion is to do both.
Which one you start with first doesn't matter. However, if you like Web stuff and want a job in Web first while still working at the certs, then take SCWCD first.
